The UFC is reportedly targeting a fight between Edson Barboza and Jeremy Stephens for October 3.
Coming off an unsuccessful featherweight debut against Dan Ige back on May 16, Barboza is set to take on a perennial contender within the 145lb division in Stephens.

Stephens himself is coming off a brutal KO loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC 249.
The report comes from Combate.com who broke the news earlier this evening.
It's a must-win fight for both men, with the Brazillian having lost three straight now, while the American has lost four of his last five fights, with the other ending in a no contest.

Implications aside, a fight between these two is almost certain to be a jawdropping one to watch and will guarantee to have us all glued firmly to our seats.
