Jiri Prochazka is targetting a return to action by October, following an impressive debut in the UFC.

Prochazka debuted in the octagon at UFC 251 and was thrown into the deep end right from the get-go. Volkan Oezdemir welcomed the light heavyweight to the UFC, but Prochazka brushed the former title contender to the side, delivering a spectacular knockout inside two rounds of the fight.

The former Rizin FF light heavyweight champion has revealed in an interview with MMA Junkie, that he's aiming to get back into the octagon around October.

"I think October will be a very nice month for fighting, something like that,” he said. “October, November, I wanna fight."

Prochazka is eager for the level of his opposition to rise, promising his performances will only get better, the more impressive his opponent is.

"I had so many fights and they give me very good opponents, but I like it. I’m very glad for that, because I need to challenge myself. I need to have tough opponents in front of me because my opponent will make my performance."

Make no mistake though, the Czech martial artist is willing to take on just about anyone in the division if it pushes him towards an eventual title fight.

"I don’t care (who I face next). In the light heavyweight division, every guy has a good style and I like them. I don’t care, I just want to go for the title, so I don’t care who they give me. I just want to show my skills, my power and my technique."
