With the next title challenger (after Cody Garbrandt) unclear for the flyweight title, the UFC has booked what many deem to be a number one contender fight in Moreno vs Perez. The fight will take place on November 21st, and is expected to take place in Abu Dhabi.
Moreno is currently riding a four fight unbeaten run in the UFC, defeating Jussier Formiga via unanimous decision in March of this year. The 26-year-old flyweight was released by the UFC in 2018, but quickly resigned with the promotion after finishing Maikel Perez at LFA 69. One would think that an impressive performance against his American opponent will clear a path straight to a title opportunity.

Alex Perez has also won three of his last four fights, and like his opponent, last defeated Jussier Formiga. However, the 28-year-old finished Formiga with leg kicks in the very first round. This makes it two finishes in the row for the young flyweight, which in a division where stoppages are not normally expected, can catapult a fighter up the rankings.
Although Dana White has not officially stated this, it does seem that whoever comes out of this bout victorious, will be the one to face the winner of Figueiredo vs Garbrandt. We are in for a great fight here, and one that will certainly showcase the level of competition at the top of the UFC flyweight division.
