Bellator have lost two fights from their upcoming Bellator 243 card on Friday, with the preliminary bout between Joel Bauman and Taylor Johnson and Ahmed Samir Hefny's bout with Christian Edwards both cancelled.
The fights were scrapped after Bauman and Hefny were both removed from the event due to undisclosed reasons.
The news was broke by MMA Junkie earlier tonight, with it being confirmed Johnson and Edwards wouldn't be given replacement opponents.
Both Johnson and Edwards will be compensated, however, despite not actually competing on the card.
Bellator 243 takes place on Friday 7 August and will be headlined by Michael Chandler and Benson Henderson, and it will mark the second time the lightweights have met inside the cage.
